Lori + Dylan || The Venue at Murphy Lane Wedding || Atlanta Wedding Photographer || Film Wedding Photographer
Y’all, living in Georgia as a wedding photographer is not for the faint of heart. I think about 60% of my fall wedding days called for rain…and when I say rain, I mean thunderstorms and torrential hail. Doesn’t that sound like the kind of weather you want to photograph in?! The best part about this crazy weather, though, is that my clients are perfect and could care less. One of my main goals has always been to book couples that care more about their marriage than just the wedding day, and I can say with 100% certainty that it is a goal always met. Lori and Dylan have been dating for years, and they were both just so excited to be married to one another the fact that you couldn’t see more than three feet in front of you at the start of their wedding day didn’t phase them one bit. I loved every second I got to spend with these two, and I was so sad to see their day come and go.
These two got married at Lori’s family church, where they have been attending for generations, before heading to The Venue at Murphy Lane for their family and dance-filled reception. They embraced the Christmas season with pops of red and greenery, but kept it timeless in the dress and veil that Lori’s mother AND grandmother wore on their wedding days. I love traditions like this, because a wedding day just means so much more than simply taking photos to post on Facebook. These are tangible memories of the day these two said yes to forever, and I am so excited to finally share them with you! Oh, and guess what? That rain knew it couldn’t deter these two so it just stopped for us anyway ;) Here is a peek into their perfect day-as always, don’t forget to celebrate love!
